We only included movies that opened wide in more than 2,000 theaters; we did not examine films released in November.
Itse ajattelen, että esim. $100milj. maksanut elokuva joka tuottaa vaikka $50milj. on huomattavasti isompi FLOPPI kuin elokuva jonka Budjetti on $10milj. ja tuotto $4milj. Prosentteina ei tietenkään näin ole, mutta dollareina kyllä.
Vähän pitää omaa veikkausta tutkia näin jälkikäteen: Ghostbusters ja ID4:2 taisivat molemmat olla arvostelullisia floppeja, mutta rahaa ne toivat tekijöille siinä määrin, että en ihmettelisi, mikäli jatkoakin vielä tulisi. Money, money, money....
Ghostbusters ei sittenkään tuottanut kovinkaan kummoisesti fyffeä. Hyvä, jos plussalle pääsivät. Että ehkäpä ei tarvitsekaan kärsiä jatko-osasta.
