Kokonaisuuden kannalta kenties oleellisin asia tässä yhteydessä olisi ollut julkistaa 4K masteroitu siirros EDES Sormuksen ritarit -filmauksesta, joka jos mikä sen ansaitsisi - vihdoin. Blu-ray:n kuvanlaadulliset puutteet saagan aloitusosassa lienee useimpien tiedossa, ja TLOTR -boksin yleisilmeen vaikuttavin painos löytyy sarjan viimeisestä osasta. Samahan koettiin mm. Indiana Jones trilogian kanssa, jossa Viimeinen ristiretki hoidettiin tyylikkäästi masteroinnin osalta, kun taas ensimmäiset kaksi osaa jäivät tässä mielessä lähes keskeneräisiksi. Joka tapauksessa tuo nyt julkaistava paketti on kaikessa poskettomuudessaan jo perseilyn tuolla puolen mitä hintaan tulee, vaikka eihän se tyhmä, joka nauraa koko matkan pankkiin. Saakelin surullista.
