Logitechilta uudet kapulat: Logitech Harmony Ultimate ja Smart Control

Ultimaten ja Ultimate Onen ero lienee juurikin tuo että One tulee ilman Hubia. Touchissa taisi puuttua bluetooth joka noissa jälkeenpäin tulleissa (ultimatet) on? Tuossa oli jonkunlainen taulukko, joskin poistunee melko nopsaan kun uusia malleja on tulossa, jatkossa kun saa kapulan jopa valkoisena . http://www.myharmony.com/en-gb/products/compare/

Näköjään tuo Smart Control paketissa tuleva simppeli kapulakin saanut hieman muutoksia, lisätty valaistuksen ja pistorasioiden ohjaukseen omat napit ja järkeistetty muutenkin kun play/pause jne on siirretty alemmas ergonomisempaan paikkaan. Tuossa ainakin noita uusia, varmaan muuttuu muutkin Logitechin sivustot llähiaikoina:

Bluetooth on siinä hubissa. Nyt kun selailin internetiä niin ymmärtääkseni Touch on myös poistunut malli vaikka se suomenkieliseltä sivustolta vielä löytyy. Laite on melkein identtinen Ultimate Onen kanssa pl. tilt sensor ja vibration feedback.

 

Eli ensin tuli Ultimate tai Touch, sitten Touch lopetettiin ja se korvattiin Ultimate One:lla, joka siis on Ultimate ilman hubia, mutta sen voi ostaa toki jälkikäteen.

The hub is common between the Smart Control and Ultimate system. Also note worthy is that the Smart Control system can be upgraded with the Touch remote, giving you similar features to that of the Ultimate system. There are however subtle differences between the Touch remote and the one that comes with the Ultimate system. For instance, the touch remote is lacking haptic feedback, a tilt sensor, and it’s ergonomics and materials are slightly different. What does this mean, well the tilt sensor is used to wake the LCD up when you pick the remote up, and the lack of haptic feedback on the touch remote means that you will not get confirmation on your presses. Other than that the ergonomics and materlial on the back of the remote might just be preference.

Kai se on uskottava, että Ultimate paketin säädin on One..

My Harmony Ultimate One came today direct from Logitech. The side of the box says "Upgradeable to Harmony Ultimate - Purchase Harmony Hub (sold separately) to add features like closed-cabinet access, control of Bluetooth game systems, and a powerful Harmony App for smartphones."

 

Ihan vain tiedoksi jos alkaa harmony sekoilemaan. Tämä korjasi minulla sonoksen ja ps3:n ohjauksen

Ainakin minulle uutta tietoa. Hyvin piilossa tuo firmispäivitys!

Try to udpate firmware for the remote and hub
1. Launch MyHarmony Computer Application
2. Before clicking inside the window, Open advanced tools page by the key combination below:
--> Windows users: Press Alt+F9
--> Mac users: Press Fn+Option+F9 or Option+F9 (depending on Mac model, either one will work)
3. Select 'Update Firmware' button under Harmony Ultimate (4.x) or Harmony Smart Control (4.x)
4. Follow the steps in the tool to install the firmware manually
-Ensure that firmware is updated on both components: Remote & Hub
5. Once you are done, click 'Return to login screen', open your MyHarmony account and make a USB Sync
6. Please connect your Hub to the power supply & Remote to the computer via USB and click the Sync button

 

Mulla ainakin itse kapula (ultimate) aina ilmoittaa että olis uutta firmistä tarjolla. Viimeksi viime viikolla.

 

Tuli jälleen Ultimateen päivitys (4.10.30). Hupsakkaa, kun edelleen OTA-päivitys vaihtaa kielen englanniksi. Noh, synkkaus taas PC-ohjelmistolla palauttaa vanhaan malliin kielen takaisin suomeksi. Kovin tekee tiukkaa korjata tuo bugi - liekkö marginaalikielibugia edes huomattu.
