Hienoa että jatkoa lähtee tekemään mies itse eikä joku juuri-elokuva-ohjaajakoulusta-valmistunut teinikauhuhemmo. Kuulostaa hyvältä ja toivon jatkoa hyvälle klassikkosarjalle... :thumbsup:
Universal will Distribute Land of the Dead "Although the following news has not been confirmed yet, B-D scooper Gary writes in from the Horrorfind Convention in Maryland where he says that George Romero talked a little about his fourth zombie flick Land of the Dead. He reports that Romero cleared the air and said Universal will be distributing his film, which will hit theaters late fall 2005. In Romero´s new pic, the zombies having taken over the world and those left alive are confined to a walled-in city that keeps out the corpse corps. Anarchy rules the streets, with the wealthy insulated and living in fortified skyscrapers. Drama revolves around a group of scavengers who must thwart an attempt to overthrow the city while the dead are evolving from brainless slow-moving creatures into more advanced creatures." Simon Baker, John Leguizamo and Dennis Hopper are off to "The Land of the Dead," George A. Romero's return to the zombie genre that he made famous. Asia Argento and Robert Joy also are joining the cast. Written and directed by Romero, the story takes place in a world overrun by zombies where the human survivors live in a walled city. While the zombies are evolving, certain factions seek to overthrow the city. The film is meant to complement Romero's earlier zombie movies, "Night of the Living Dead," "Dawn of the Dead" and "Day of the Dead," and to start a new line of zombie films. Universal Pictures is distributing domestically and internationally. The European-based Wild Bunch, which is co-producing, is handling the film in France, Benelux and French-speaking Switzerland. The production is scheduled to begin shooting Oct. 11 in Toronto. Mark Canton, who is producing through his Atmosphere MM shingle, said the film also will feature cameos. "A lot of people revere George, and fellow directors and actors are calling to see if they can be zombies. I think it's a testament to George and the genre that he created," Canton said. Elokuvan traileri. Dawn of The Deadin remakehan tuosta ensimmäiseksi tulee mieleen, mutta saapa nähdä minkälainen elokuvasta lopulta tulee. Trailereihinhan tietenkin keräillään näitä, no, perustrailerikohtauksia.
Onkos se Savinin Tomppa tuossa ekassa kuvassa? Jos on, näyttää olevan melko samanlaiset kuteet kuin From Dusk Till Dawnissa... Mutta itse leffasta: Tätä onkin jo odotettu! Trilogy of the Dead on kyllä yksi parhaimmista kauhusaagoista. Hävettää ihan tunnustaa, etten omista dvd-boxia. Uskon, että Romero haluaa tehdä tästä uutukaisesta Daytä paremman (hänhän ei siitä liiemmin välittänyt?). Itse tykkäsin Daystä erittäin paljon, joten tuskin tulen tähänkään pettymään. Onkos kellään tietoa Suomen ensi-illasta?
Juliste on mielestäni todella tyylikäs. Ultimate zombie masterpiece on aika paljon luvattu, mutta toivo elää...
Ihan basic mätöltä näyttää ainakin tuo traileri. Kaippa tämä pitää käydä tsekkaamassa, varsinkin kun mestari itse on kapuloissa. Tosiaankin, hienoa juliste.

Vaikuttaa ihan hyvältä. Toivottavasti Romero on saanut jotain uutta irti aiheesta. Leffassa muuten vilahtanee itse Simon(Shaun Of The Dead)Pegg cameoroolissa. :thumbsup:
Toivottavasti kopiomäärä on tarpeeksi korkea, että ensi-illan aikaan voin käydä sen katsomassa kotoisessa elokuvateatterissani. Reilu 10 saattaisi riittää.
Kyllähän tämän on mentävä katsomaan het ikun se suomenmaaperälle saapuu. Dawn of the deadiin (siis ihan orginaaliin) en hirveästi lämmennyt, mutta night of the living dead edelleen todella upea kauhuilu ja ehdottomasti paras zombiekauhu ikinä. Day of the dead on edelleen näkemättä. Toivottavasti zombiet pysyvät hitaina.
Hmm, haluaisin sanoa että odotan tätä kovasti ja että tämän pitää olla hyvä, mutta, takaraivossa vaanii se suuren pettymyksen pelko tämänkin suhteen.
Asia Argento näyttää roolinsa puitteissa taas keikistelevän pornahtavissa tai muuten vaan vähissä vatteissa. Mutta niihän se pittääkin.
