Ilahduin suuresti kun huomasin, että Ballerina julkaistaan UHD:nä suomiteksteillä. Sitten iski vitutus kun näin tiedoissa seuraavaa: Upscaled 4K ja DTS-HD 5.1 ja HDR10. Siis mitä v... nyt taas ? Muualla maailmassa Native 4K ja Dolby Atmos/Vision. Sama juttu Warfaren kohdalla joka näyttää olevan jo myynnissä. Onko jollain tuo hyllyssä jotta pystyy varmistamaan edes tuon ääniformaatin ? Tuo Upscaled osuus ainakin kannattaa jättää huomioitta. Joko väärä tieto tai viittaa siihen, että elokuvan DI on tuotettu 2K tasoisena, mikä on vieläkin hyvin yleistä. Tosin se 2K masteri on täydellä 4:4:4 väriresoluutiolla, joten lähtökohta on edelleen hyvä UHD:ta ajatellen.
Ballerinan kohdalla imdb ilmoittaa että DI on 4K ja kuten totesin niin muiden maiden julkaisut ovat native 4K. Todellakin toivon, että on virhe tiedoissa pohjoismaisen osalta. Samoin tuo Atmoksen puuttuminen ihmetyttää. Jos ne perkeleet on vaikka päättäneet, että on halvempaa tehdä blu-ray:n 2K masterista upscale ja vetäistä se vasemmalla kädellä UHD:lle ja rahat pois tyhmiltä ? No täytyy ootella että on myynnissä ja tiedot varmistettu ennen ostoliipaisimen painallusta. Ilman Atmosta ja Visionia ei tule kauppoja, mennään mieluummin ilman suomitekstejä sitten.
Ne Ballerina ja Warfare on vain ilman Atmosta ja Dolby Visionia. Tämä on ihan normaalia Pohjoismaisissa julkaisuissa. Näitä julkaisuja on monta samanlaista. Joko puuttuu Atmos tai Dolby vision tai molemmat ja levykin on saattanut muuttua halvemmaksi BD-66:seksi. Pohjoismaiset julkaisut säästävät. Civil War, No Time to Die, Midway, Hitmans Wives Bodyguard, Horizon nyt tulee ihan hatusta heittämällä mieleen. Taidan perustaa ketjun, jossa olisi listattuna noita vältettäviä levyjä tai ainakin tiedostaa mitä ostaa, jos halvalla saa.
Tässähän puhutaan Soul Median julkaisuista, joten ihan mikä tahansa on mahdollista. Ne tehdään niin halvalla kuin mahdollista. Levy itse on pienin mahdollinen ja codecit voivat olla erit (halvemmat) jne. Itse pyrin välttämään Soul Median julkaisuja.
Noista ei kyllä yksikään taida olla Soul Median tekeleitä. Nordisk Film, SF Studios, Noble Entertainment jne.
Vastasin väärään viestiin ehkä, mutta Ballerina ja Warfare ovat Soul Median julkaisuja pohjoismaissa. Mutta ainakin Civil War on Scanbox, joka taitaa olla samaa Soul Median kanssa nykyään. Ainakin ne julkaisut ovat samalla metodilla tehtyjä.
Ovat Nordisk Filmin (Egmont) tekeleitä. SMD Entertainment toimii vain jakelijana. Ei ole edes Soul Median logoa takakannessa. Mutta tämä menee jo pilkun nus.. joten jätän tän tähän.
