Filmmaker Steven Soderbergh will apparently release a limited-edition boxed set of seven films that he now controls the rights to and has remastered in 4K HDR later this year. These include the “Kafka” re-edit now titled “Mr. Kneff” (along with the original), tightened versions of “Schizopolis” and “Full Frontal,” and the films “Gray’s Anatomy,” “Bubble,” “The Girlfriend Experience” and “Everything is Going Fine”. Speaking of 4K, we have sufficient word from our studio and industry sources to add a number of new or re-confirmed titles to our 4K Ultra HD Release List as coming in 2021, including Zack Snyder’s Justice League(TBA March), Wonder Woman 1984 (TBA April), A Clockwork Orange, Gravity, The Shawshank Redemption, Space Jam: 25th Anniversary, and Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory: 50th Anniversary(all TBA 2021) from Warner, Soul (TBA April) from Disney and Pixar, News of the World and Greenland (TBA February or March) from Universal, and Monster Hunter, Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV (both due 3/30), Snatch, Last Action Hero (both TBA May), Looper, The Guns of Navarone, and Drive (TBA 2021). Kun tuo Warner vihdoin uskoisi minun ehdotukseni ruveta tuomaan Eastwood tuotantoja Special Edition UHD-levyinä vaikka kaksi per vuosi. Samaan tapaan kuin tipoittain ilmestyy Kubrickeja. Johan tuollakin tahdilla menisi vuosikymmeniä, mutta se olisi ehkä odotetuin ja ostetuin sarja ikinä. "Eastwood on Warner" Ehkä kronologinen järjestys? Vai yksi hitti ja yksi vähemmän tunnettu per vuosi, mutta kansissa kuitenkin joku järjestysnumero iän mukaan ja ehkä sarjat ala Dirty Harry eriteltynä vielä erikseen? Johan tässä touhutippa tulee housuun pelkästään mehustellessa.

Heat (1995) ja Speed (1994) tulossa Disneyltä 27. toukokuuta. Kun nämä molemmat ovat FOXin tuotantoa, niin näyttäsi siltä, että voimme saada UHDnä vaikka mitä 20th Century elokuvia, eikä Disneyllä ole tarkoituksena säästää näitä vain striimaukseen. Tämä on hyvä päivä fyysiselle.
