It’s worth noting that while the UK once again gets the cut version of the feature, those thrifty fellas at Fox have authored the disc to include both versions by way of seamless branching so that one version can be sold in the whole of Europe. What this means is that you can change your Blu-ray player’s default menu language to French and experience the uncut version of Conan. Don’t worry, it still plays with English audio and there are no forced subtitles.

UK:n BBFC ikärajoitettu versio on leikattu tekaistujen hevoskaatumisten osalta, mutta jos valitsee esim. ranskan menusta niin saa leikkaamattoman version.

 

Ensimmäinen leffa oli hieno elokuva, vaikka Conanin hahmo oli muutettu tyhmäksi gorillaksi. Toinen elokuva taas oli puhdas seikkailu ilman taiteellisia arvoja, joten vääristellystä Conanista ei voinut enää olla sakottamatta.

 

Ilmeisesti Britti julkaisussa Suomitekstit. Jenkki kannet vaan näyttävät paremmalta ja varmasti leikkamattomat ilman kikkailuja. Onko kukaan nähnyt vielä arvosteluja niistä? Onko Suomitekstit?

Eiköhän tuo ole aluekoodivapaa, vai onko Universal jossain vaiheessa muuttanut kantaansa näissä asioissa?

 

Tuossa lukee tosiaan että "untested", eli eivät ole päässeet testaamaan muilla regioneilla. Yllättyisin, ellei olisi aluekoodivapaa...

Barbaarissa on ilmeisesti huomattava määrä virheitä ääniraidassa ja jokin yökohtaus onkin nyt päiväkohtaus .

Koskeekohan tuo vain Univeraslin jenkkilevyä vai myös Foxin brittilevyä?

 

Esim. Play.com:in on region ABC ja suomisubit löytyy. Myös extroihin.

 

Virtually all of the Blu-Ray releases of this film have the same exact flaws in audio. Universal US, FOX UK, HK, JP all are the same. Avoid at all costs.

"There appears to be an audio problem with Universal's new Conan the Barbarian Blu-ray. Essentially, the film's "remastered" 5.1 DTS-HD MA soundtrack is missing several pieces of choral music in Basil Poledouris' score and select instruments are apparently inaudible in the mix. It also appears there may be occasionally inaudible sound effects. And the disc doesn't include the original mono mix, so you've no other option. I've alerted Universal to this and am told that they're looking into it. Hopefully, they'll correct the problem and issue replacement discs, because this is the kind of thing that drives diehard fans of a film absolutely crazy. We'll let you know as soon as we hear more."

Tosin tuossa tekstissä ei ole mitään mainintaa "kuvavirheestä" yökohtauksessa.

 

Joo-o. En ole kyllä tuota ostamassa ennenkuin on fixattu. Musiikki on yksi tärkeimmistä elementeistä tuossa elokuvassa. Harmi, olisi kova polte päästä katseleen Conan hd:na.

Kukahan omistaa Conan The Destroyerin oikeudet pohjoismaissa? Onko ne edelleen scumboxilla, joka on julkaissut sen vhs-masterin?
