Heti ensimmäisenä herää kysymys, että tuleeko päälaukaus olemaan sensuroimaton vaiko CGI:llä pimpattu? Nykyiset BD:t on sensuroitu, mutta vanha dvd on sensuroimaton.

Toisin kuin Koch Median, jonka julkaisut on yleensä hitti tahi huti mitä mainittuun seikkaan tulee. Eipä sillä, etteikö Kochin katalogista löytyisi hitti jos toinen poikineen, siinä missä jotkut tahot puskee makroblokattua paskaa bd-25:lle, toisinaan vieläpä MPEG-2 koodekin kusetuksella kuorrutettuna.

“Welcome to Potters Bluff.” Some exciting news that was seemingly lost in the shuffle last Summer – Blue Underground are giving Gary Sherman’s essential DEAD AND BURIED (1981) a Blu redo later this year, sourcing a fresh 4K scan of the original negative with restoration and color timing supervised by the director and DP Steve Poster! Blue Underground have previously released the film on special edition DVD and Blu-Ray, hosting a slew of commentaries and featurettes, but Sherman is hard at work on even more supplements, swearing they “will blow people away!” He’s also confirmed that composer Joe Renzetti is supervising a new audio remix and preparing the soundtrack for inclusion as a bonus CD. Though Sherman spoke about the restoration as far back as last June while hosting a Drafthouse screening—even going on record shortly thereafter for an episode of the Shock Waves podcast—word never quite spread the way it should, and the overhaul got subsequently delayed due to a malfunctioning scanner. Thankfully, the director spoke up a few days ago, indicating the release is now tentatively slated for September. Obviously, it’s to be treated as “Rumor Mill” material until an official announcement is made, but it’s obvious this classic will indeed be getting an essential upgrade in the near future. Main feature (the theatrical version)has not been DNR'd to death. MVD Insider: It's really an "Extended Cut" and not an offical director's cut. As for the quality of the "extended cut" it will be the same one that's on the foreign versions.
