The Monster Legacy DVD Collection - R2 UK

Universal Pictures Video has announced the release of The Monster Legacy DVD Collection for the 25th of October. This multi-DVD set includes seventeen films starribg screen legends such as Boris Karloff, Bela Lugosi and Lon Chaney, Jr. in the roles and films that made them famous. The set includes the following films: Frankenstein, Dracula, The Wolfman, Dracula (Spanish Language Version), Dracula´s Daughter, Son of Dracula, House of Dracula, Werewolf of London, She Wolf of London, Frankenstein Meets the Wolfman, Bride of Frankenstein, The Son of Frankenstein, Ghost of Frankenstein, The Mummy, The Invisible Man, Phantom of the Opera, and Creature from the Black Lagoon.

To make the set more collectable, three limited edition collectable figurines of Frankenstein, Dracula and the Wolf Man is also included. This collection - exclusive to the UK - also includes the acclaimed one and a half hour documentary "Universal Horror", narrated by Kenneth Branagh. You can expect to pay around £84.99 for the set when it arrives.

Stockalla oli tuota R2 Monster Collectionia, patsaineen, myynnissä .. ja nyt kun ajattelen en katsonut kovin tarkkaan mitkä elokuvat siinä olikaan.
No hinta oli jotain 84€ luokkaa.

Voiskohan joku boxin omistaja kertoa onko tuo hyväkin hankinta?

Olen lukenut arvosteluja ja sekä puolesta että vastaan ovat laadun puolesta ihmiset kritisoineet. Katselin tuossa taannoin Netanttilan sivuja ja ei kovin paha hinta ole tuolla boxilla 49,95€.

Ja tuo Bela Lugosin tähdittämä Dracula vuodelta 1931 on todellakin huippu, muistan joskus 80-luvun lopulla nähneeni ensimmäisen kerran ja teki todella vaikutuksen

Paha on suositella, mutta kyllä uskoisin että Dracula/Frankenstein/Wolfman/Invisible Man ainakin elokuvafania kiinnostaa.
Jatko-osat toimivat lähes vain kuriositeetteina, muutamia poikkeuksia lukuunottamatta.
Boksi on halpa, elokuvat katsoo mielellään läpi ja patsaat on komeat.
Ostin ja en ole katunut.
