Itselläni loppunut huumorintaju enemmänkin itse noiden laitteiden kanssa.. Eihän niitä mainostettu kun vuonna 2004, että "joojoo jouluksi tulee", 2005, että "joojoo kesäksi tulee"..

There are some DVD recorders with DVB tuner on sale in other european markets but you take your chances whether they will work 100% in Finland.

There are three Panasonic models I know of:

DMR-EH20D: dvd recorder UK market
DMR-EH60D: dvd recorder + 200G HD. UK market.
DMR-EH54D: dvd recorder + 80G HD. German market.

These all have an analog tuner plus a digital (DVB) tuner.Don't get confused between DMR-EH60 and DMR-EH60D. "D" means digital tuner. Only the UK gets DMR-EH60D the rest of europe gets DMR-EH60.

The issues to be aware of when importing one of these are:

1) DVB Tuner: will it handle the right carriers/modulation.
2) DVB: will it handle 7 day EPG or just "now & next"
3) DVB: will it handle subtitles and let you pick finnish subtitles.
4) Analog: will the tuner receive PAL B/G
5) Analog: will the tuner receive VHF+UHF or just UHF.

For the UK market machines points #1,2 and 3 are probably ok in finland. For sure #4 and #5 are not true - UK machines are PAL-I UHF only.

I have a DMR-EH54D myself and it is ok on points #1, #4 and #5, but the EPG is now & next. not too bad since you can still use showview or set the timer yourself. The missing subtitles are the worst issue though, I think in Germany they do not use subtitles so DMR-EH54D does not let you choose them.

If I had enough money I would take a risk on a DMR-EH60D and forget about the analog tuner - but it might not work and you might have to send it back to UK and get a refund.

I didn't consider the issues of finnish language instruction book or finnish on screen menus. DMR-EH54D lets you choose english or german menus and I am using the DMR-EH60D english instructions to understand how to use it.
