Tässä vanhassakin Humaxissa, ainakin kaapelimallissa, ohjelman tallennus ei keskeydy vaikka vahingossa painaisi virtanäppäintä. Ihmeellistä, jos on noin suuri huononnus tullut uuteen malliin.Viestin alkuperäinen lähettäjä: MovieFreak

Olin juuri menossa nukkumaan, kun päätin vielä katsoa viestit, ja pakkohan se oli sitten vielä mennä testaamaan tuo virran katkaisu.
Laitoin tv:n päälle ja Humax oli sammuksissa. Olin ajastanut MTV3:n leffan, joten ihmettelin että tuliko nyt ensimmäinen "pummi" tallennuksessa. Olen tallentanut viikon aikana n. 20 eri ohjelmaa, eikä epäonnistumisia ole tullut. Laitoin laitteen päälle ja kuva tuli n. sekunnissa. Ihmettelin jälleen. Päätin sammuttaa laitteen silläkin uhalla, että tallennus menee pilalle. Laite sammui, mutta tallennuksen REC-näyttö (siis itse laitteen omassa näytössä) jäi päälle. Humax uudestaan päälle, kuva näyttöön taas sekunnissa ja tarkistus puskurista ettei tallennus ole keskeytynyt. Ei ollut.
Tämä Humax toimiíkin totutusta poikkeavasti. Kun laite on sammutettuna ja ajastintallennus menee päälle, on se ns. "hibernate" -tilassa (...mistähän tuon vetäisin?). Tallentaa, mutta laite ei varsinaisesti ole päällä, eikä AV-lähdöistä tule tällöin signaalia.
Olen pahoillani että annoin vireellistä tietoa. Laitan tuon väsymyksen piikkiin, mutta onneksi te olette skarppina.

Onkos tässäkin mallissa tuo "puristettu" kuvasuhdemoodi? Toimi loistavasti vanhassa 2000PVR mallissa (tosin oli sitten muita vikoja...)

No niin, sain tänään koneen paikalliselta Expertiltä kun kävin keskiviikkona näiden nettitietojen perusteella sanomassa että nyt teillä sitä konetta pitäisi olla..
Ensi vaikutelmat ovat positiiviset, koetallennus EPGtä käyttäen onnistui ja vielä sen katsominenkin. Samoin tuo TSR eli menossa olevan ohjelman pysäytys, jatkokatsominen ja kiinniotto kelaamalla eteenpäin. Koska kyseessä on ensimmäinen tallentava digiboxini pitää jo tähän olla tyytyväinen näin aluksi. Pitäisi vielä kahlata kunnolla toi ei-niin-selkeä ohjekirja läpi että tulisi hyödynnettyä kaikki fiitserit. Ja ostaa valokuitukaapeli äänelle.
Mihin hintaan lähti Expertiltä ?No niin, sain tänään koneen paikalliselta Expertiltä kun kävin keskiviikkona näiden nettitietojen perusteella sanomassa että nyt teillä sitä konetta pitäisi olla.
Löysin bugin (britti-versiosta). Kanavanimessä laitteen etupanelin näytössä on joskus välilyönti alussa, eli teksti ei ala näytön reunasta. Tästä johtuen esim. normaalisti kokonaan näkyvä "NELONEN" onkin " NELONE", koska kanavanimessä sopii olemaan maksimissaan seitsemän kirjainta. En ole vielä havainnut että missä tilanteessa näin käy.
Brittilästä laitetta saa toimituksineen Suomeen kuulemma jo alle 300€.

- Finnish-version has 50 timer slots compared to 20 on UK-version
- Autopadding functions better (I don´t understand how)
- 5 channels on EPG simultaneously compered to 4 on UK-version
- Conax-card-slot
- editing saved programs is much better in UK-version
According to finnish importer (www.finnsat.fi) the hardware isn´t the same and there´s no way to update UK-version with finnish software. I think that´s propaganda, but no-one has tested it yet. The price-difference is quite high (300€ vs. 500€).
I own the UK-version and I´m quite happy with it. Lacking of nordic alphabets (ä,ö,å) in EPG and the numbering of local channels (YLE1=800, YLE2=801 and so on) are the only flaws.
Thanks very much for the reply. This model for Finland was originally wanting to be released early 2006 but as some of you may know, there were some problems with the UK model that needed to be fixed urgently before the finland model was released. You would not want to have the bug that looses all your recordings in the finish model believe me!
The UK version is getting an increase from 20 to 50 timers too and autopadding has just been introduced in the last software update. The UK version is also due to receive a change in software that allows the EPG/Guide to be saved to the hard disk, so that it is instantly available when you switch on the PVR - rather than waiting minutes for it to re-populate the EPG data.
I had a look at the finish 9200t manual and as I dont understand the language I just looked at the pictures! The remote control seems to have a more sensible layout for its buttons compared to the UK version.
More interestingly, am I right in interpreting that there are options in the playlist view? If so what are they? In the UK people are asking to be able to delete recordings from the playlist and I wonder if that has been done for this model in Finland.
Also, i notice there are check boxes next programmes in the recordings list. Is this to be able to select multiple recordings and then in one go delete all of the selected items?
So many questions i know. Sorry!
When will this machine be available in Finland to buy and are these types of products normally around the 500EURO price here?

P.s. We in the UK have been asking for at least 5 channels to be on view in the EPG at once (4 in the UK) and now that this is true in the case of the Finish model I will be asking Humax UK about if it is possible to do the same for the UK model!

Nice to hear that UK-version is getting more timer slots. I've been thinking about ordering the UK-version of Humax because it is much cheaper in there. In finnish Mediaplazashop it is 489€.

Yes it does apear cheaper in the UK at the moment but would import if you are happy to take a model which appears slightly less better featured. Has the Finnish version been released yet and do many of you have them yet? I would be grateful for any answers to my previous questions. The Finnish model has been released a week or two ago and the price seems to be everywhere slightly below 500€. No reason to start lowering the price yet since they sell well at this price at the moment. Personally I'm waiting a few months before getting it. I don't watch that much tv during the summer anyway, and I manage with my old 8000T until autumn.
Hi Johann. Well you could always get one for around £190-£199 from online retailers and its the same today. From the major retailers in the street (Dixons, John Lewis, Comet, Currys) the price started off at £230, perhaps on occasion it would go to £220 as a special offer. But now all those stores in the high street sell for £199.
What have been the main issues with the unit (if any) for the Finnish version?
